In 2018 she was one of three finalists for the MPA award for Best Columnist/Blogger. In 2021 she designed and edited a North & South 148-page travel special issue, and in 2022 edited two more special themed issues for the magazine. Before training in graphic design, Jenny graduated from Wellington Polytechnic School of Journalism. During her years as art director of North & South, she won 10 industry awards for graphic design. She has won the Magazine Publishers Association Awards Designer of the Year award (Current Affairs) twice, and also the MPA Supreme Designer of the Year. She was art director of the Auckland urban magazine Metro from 2002 to 2008, and art director of North & South until 2020. His linear style lends itself to editorial illustration, and he sells his work internationally. A graduate of the Otago Polytechnic School of Fine Arts, Greg majored in sculpture and has exhibited at many galleries throughout New Zealand, including shows at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth and the Eastern Southland Gallery in Gore. His sculpture practice also led to several large-scale public and private commissions along with projects within film, performance (dance and musical theatre) and advertising. For several years, Greg has worked with Auckland-based current affairs magazines on commissioned editorial illustrations. His interest in ecology and conservation also sparked a recent series of work on New Zealand native birds, including a range of prints and cards for outlets such as the Wellington ecosanctuary Zealandia. She has written for leading magazines and newspapers including the NZ Listener, North & South, Metro, the Sunday Star-Times and the Auckland Star, and is widely respected in health and scientific research communities for her ability to distil complex information and communicate it to a lay audience in a readily accessible form. Donna has won dozens of media awards for her work, including numerous Qantas/Canon Media awards for magazine feature writing in crime/justice, health, human relations, business and general fields. She’s a three-time winner of the Newspaper/Magazine Feature Writer of the Year Award in the Qantas/Canon Media Awards; she’s also won the Magazine Publishers Association Current Affairs Journalist of the Year Award three times. She has technical skills to burn, plus the ability to work quickly under high pressure, great ability to work on Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Nora was the Head of Editorial Design for a leading Latin American publication and director of the redesign of a national newspaper before travelling to New Zealand to live permanently in 2016. She is a confident design leader, but also a dazzling and warm addition to any design team. Under her design, the Waiheke Weekender has won ‘Best Magazine’ at New Zealand industry awards twice in a row – in 2023 and 2024. Nora is a fashion and design maven, and loves editorial design, music, illustration, and her cats.
